Life as an RA (Resident Assistant) gets crazy sometimes. While it's awesome to be there for 34 other girls, sometimes, it can get pretty busy. But every Wednesday night, we have staff meeting. But meeting sounds boring, so I like to think of them as get-togethers! We sit around, share our ups and downs, updating one another on what's going on! I like that even though we have other things that we could be doing with our busy lives, we find a way to be together.
I love sitting in a circle and looking at everyone's faces. Some of us stressed, some excited, some worn-out, some happy, some engaged, some overjoyed, and some content.
I am so grateful for every single one of them. They work SO hard to take care of girls, put on awesome programs, keep the unit looking cute and clean, and they are there for girls whenever there is a need. Each one of them have such a big heart to help others.
I love each and every one of them. I like that we all have our quirks but that makes us so much more special. I like that we are not in it alone. I love that I can always look to them to teach me something new.
After our staff get-together, Christina and I got to catch up on what's been going on. It's crazy that we love each other so much but never get to talk as long as we want to. Today, we got to share a bag of trail mix and ask each other about how life is going.
I loved hearing her specific schedule for what she does every morning.
I love that she takes a short nap after she wakes up and showers.
I love how excited she gets talking about how fun halloween decorating with her girls was.
She is such an awesome of an RA and friend.
I loved that my sister called me today to ask me about how my anatomy test went. I loved hearing about her day. Even though we are 119 miles away from one another, it's so great that we can encourage one another in hard times and rejoice together in exciting times.
I love that Kelly texted me before my anatomy test to wish me good luck. She cares enough to stop by my room just to say hi and give me a hug.

While life gets crazy sometimes,
the little encouragements throughout the day, the random phone calls,
the smiles and hugs, the exciting text messages,
or just the simple question of
"How's life going?"
"How's life going?"
are the best reminders that we are never alone.
Eshan, this is so beautiful :) Thank you for sharing
