"let's try really hard not to forget..."

The two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving break is always a really stressful time. Somehow, teachers manage to find some way to stress their students out. It starts with a homework assignment, then a project, then a quiz, a presentation, a paper, an exam--work begins to pile up.

Just walking around campus or sitting at Starbucks, you overhear people talking about how stressed they are or how much they have to do. For many people, they have no idea how they will even get through these next two weeks alive.

So many times, we get so caught up in what we have to do and how stressed we are that we forget.
We forget to remember all the times that we've had this same work load and got through it.
We forget to stop and take time to enjoy what we're learning.
We forget how fortunate it is that we are at Butler and in the major we're in.
We forget why we loved it in the first place.

Instead of forgetting, I want to remind myself that I'm gonna get through this like I have before.
I'm gonna remember how fortunate it is that I'm at Butler.
I'm gonna remember what a privilege it is to be an auto advanced pre-physician assistant major.
I'm gonna remember to be grateful that I get to learn so many new things every day.
I'm gonna remember to enjoy all the people that I get to see every day.
I'm gonna remember to treasure every moment of studying, sitting, talking or eating.

I'm gonna remember that...
